Tomato Barbecue Sauce Recipe
There was a barbecue beef/sloppy joe recipe in Guideposts sometime before May of 2007. ?

It had green pepper, steak sauce, worcestershire sauce, onion, tomato. I made a bunch for a family reunion and now have misplaced the recipe. Thanks for your help!

Need a good vegetable soup / broth recipe in the crockpot, with limited ingredients?

I have some onions (Spanish onions), a few large carrots, celery, and tomato sauce. As for spices, I have cumin, Italian seasoning, paprika, plenty of seasoned salt and “Latin American seasoning” plus chili powder. I also have frozen yellow corn, as well as frozen mixed vegetables (green beans, corn, with some carrots) plus a little barbecue sauce.

Does anyone know of a good vegetable soup / broth recipe that I could make with this in my crockpot? The crockpot is really the important part, since my temporary residence doesn’t have a stove.

Thank you!

You could make a decent tex-mex flavored soup.

Onions, corn, carrots, celery, green beans, tomato sauce, stock. Season w/ a little chili powder and “latin” spices, maybe some cumin, S&P. I’d skip the BBQ sauce. A bit of oregano is good, or if you dont ‘have just oregano, a bit of Italian seasoning is good, too. Oregano is used in mexican cooking.

If you have some potatoes, rice, or pasta, that would help thicken the soup and make it “stick to your ribs.”
