Spicy Carrot Soup Recipe
Recipe for Sopa de Marisco (seafood soup)?
I live near the border, so we have authentic mexican food here. Yesterday I had a seafood soup that had whole large butterflied shrimp, octopus, some kind of meaty white fish-maybe tilapia or cod, and oysters/clams in a tomato/fish base w/celery, carrots and tomatoes. It wasn’t spicy but had good seasoning and was really yummy! I’ve been looking online for a recipe, but some have swordfish and other stuff that this one didn’t have. I wouldn’t mind some rice with it, but I’d like to get a recipe closer to the soup I had rather than subsituting every other thing. I saw a frozen bag of seafood in the store and was thinking about getting that rather than at the seafood counter b/c I need to budget. Does anyone have a good recipe?
here’s a selection of the soups called caldos in Mexico. At least in my area they call them caldo de mariscos.
