Can you eat a marinade as an actually sauce for something?
I have been desperately looking for a Jamaican Jerk Sauce and found a Jamaican Jerk Sauce Marinade. I would like to use it for a Jamaican Jerk Pizza (crust, jerk sauce, chicken, and cheese), but since its a marinade I need to know if its completely edible. I’m sure it is, but would like to get some information before I try.

I do not intend to use it as a marinade in any way. Strictly for as a sauce for a pizza. It is already very thick.

The reason not to use a marinade after marinating meat is because of the salmomella and all the other little meanies that will be in it and not getting it hot enough to kill them when using it for basting while cooking, Especially Chicken.
