Anyone know where I can find a recipe for Italian cookies?
I’m trying to make the kind with anise and the little sprinkles….
I tried italiancookies.com and they only have cremettis… I wanted the soft anise ones with the sprinkles. italiancookiegifts.com has those. They look yummy. Any other homemade recipies?
Italian Anise Cookies
3 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. butter or margarine
3/4 c. sugar
1-3 eggs
1 tsp. each anise and lemon flavoring
Cream butter and sugar. Add dry ingredients. Add one egg at a time until dough can be formed into a ball.
Form dough into small balls.
Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.
Frost when cool with a mixture of confectioners’ sugar and milk. Sprinkle with colored non-pareils
