What is the best cake and/or ice cream recipe you’ve tasted?
The ice cream is for an ice cream maker
I would prefer that the cake to be very easy to make, transport, decorate, and serve. If you have a good fondant/royal icing/frosting recipe, please include it with your answer. Also, if you have any serving suggestions, please include with your answer as well! Thank you very much!

Chocolate Torte cake.
I use Bavarian cream & Raspberry for the fillings between layers.
My family has me make all of the birthday cakes.
If you do a torte, pipe a border around the layer (near the outter edge) you’ll put the filling. This holds the filling in place without oozing out through the icing.
