can someone convert the units in this recipe in the metric system?
I want to make strawberry cheesecake for my boyfriend’s birthday. However,it is very difficult for me to measure the ingredients as they are in US measuring units. Being from EU,i use the metric system. I tried to convert them but it’s getting very complicated and i’m stuck!!! I would be very grateful if someone can help me with this! It will mean a lot to me! Here’s the recipe
CRUST:
3/4 cup ground pecans
3/4 cup graham cracker crumbs
3 tablespoons butter, melted
FILLING:
4 packages (8 ounces each) cream cheese, softened
4 eggs
1-1/4 cups sugar
1 tablespoon lemon juice
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
TOPPING:
2 cups (16 ounces) sour cream
1/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
STRAWBERRY GLAZE:
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1/4 cup water
1 jar (12 ounces) strawberry jelly
3 tablespoons orange-flavored liqueur or lemon juice
Red food coloring, optional
1 quart whole fresh strawberries, hulled

A cup is 250ml
8 ozs is actually 227 gms but you can say 250gms
the tablespoon and teaspoon depend where you are in the EU, but a tablespoon is 15ml and a teaspoon is 5ml
a quart is almost exactly 1 litre
In fact you’ll find that packing sizes are more or less the same.
The USA has an 8 oz pack of cream cheese whereas you’ll find a 250gms pack

15×10 jelly roll pan vs. 9×13 pan?
I want to make some pumpkin cheesecake bars for Thanksgiving. However, the recipe calls for a 15x10in jelly roll pan…which I do not have. Can I use a 9×13 cake pan? Will this change anything…flavor etc?
You can use the 9 x 13. Your bars will be thicker so if it’s a baked cheesecake bar, it will take longer to bake but at the same temp. But everything will taste the same.
The bars sound good. I keep looking for a good pumpkin cheesecake to make. Would you email me your recipe or provide a link?
