My cat has become a really fussy eater. What should I do?
I have 4 cats altogether. But my beautiful ginger & white one has become so fussy. I re-homed him from a animal charity 6 months ago. Where he basically ate almost anything. Now all he wants to eat is fish and chicken. I wouldn’t mind so much, but I really do buy only the best cat food. He just sits there looking at me with those big beautiful eyes for me to change his food and of course I do. Am I wrong, what should I do?
There is nothing wrong with his teeth. Only on Monday he had a check up at the vets and his yearly booster.
My cat is like that, when I got him he ate absolutely everything! I felt bad as he hadn’t had the best life before he found me so I gave him loads of treats and bought him the best of best food. Now if he doesn’t have James Wellbeloved, fresh salmon or chicken he just stares at me as if to say ‘Mam what the hell is this, I am not eating this?’ . I took him to the vets numerous times to be told he is just spoilt rotten. I got told by the vet to put other food out and refuse to change it, if he’s hungry he will eat it. I just don’t have the heart to do it so he remains the most spoilt cat in the country! x x
