Butterscotch Frosting Recipe
Recipe like Entenmann’s Butterscotch Cake?
I used to LOVE Entenmann’s butterscotch cake. I think it was just a yellow cake with butterscotch frosting but i’m not totally sure. Now they don’t carry it anymore and I have been craving it for years. Does anyone else remember this cake? Is there anywhere to still get it or does anyone have a copycat recipe that tastes the same? Thanks!
I can’t remember if Entemman’s had almonds or not…but just leave them out if you don’t like them…this recipe is very close
Ingredients
1 (18.25 ounce) package yellow cake mix
2 eggs
1 1/2 cups butterscotch pudding
1 cup butterscotch chips
3 tablespoons white sugar
1/2 cup blanched slivered almonds
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease one 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 1 inch jelly roll pan.
Combine the cake mix, eggs, and butterscotch pudding. Spread the batter into the prepared pan and sprinkle with the butterscotch chips, white sugar, and slivered almonds.
Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 20 minutes. Enjoy
